Compatibility Issues Between Polycarboxylate Admixtures And Other Concrete Raw Materials(II)

Post Date:28,Jul,2025

Polycarboxylate water-reducing agent has been highly praised by the industry engineering community due to its low dosage, high water reduction rate and small concrete slump loss, and has also driven the rapid development of concrete technology.

The influence of machine-made sand quality and admixture adaptability on concrete quality:

(1) When producing machine-made sand, the stone powder content must be strictly controlled at about 6%, and the mud content must be within 3%. The stone powder content is a good supplement for discontinuous machine-made sand.

(2) When preparing concrete, try to maintain a certain amount of stone powder content and make the grading reasonable, especially the amount above 2.36mm.

(3) Under the premise of ensuring the strength of concrete, control the sand ratio and make the ratio of large and small gravel reasonable. The amount of small gravel can be appropriately increased.

(4) Washed machine sand is basically precipitated and de-mudified with flocculants, and a considerable amount of flocculants will remain in the finished sand. High molecular weight flocculants have a particularly large impact on water reducers. While doubling the admixture dosage, the concrete fluidity and slump loss are also particularly large.

The influence of admixtures and admixture adaptability on concrete quality:

(1) Strengthen the detection of ground fly ash, grasp the changes in its ignition loss, and pay close attention to the water demand ratio.

(2) A certain amount of clinker can be added to the ground fly ash to increase its activity.

(3) It is strictly forbidden to use materials with extremely high water absorption such as coal gangue or shale to grind fly ash.

(4) A certain amount of products with water-reducing ingredients can be added to the ground fly ash, which has a certain effect on controlling the water demand ratio. The quality of different materials has a particularly obvious impact on the state of concrete, and solving the adaptability problem requires a detailed analysis process.
