    Melamine-formaldehyde resin, a polymer obtained by the reaction of melamine and formaldehyde. Also known as melamine formaldehyde resin and melamine resin. The English abbreviation MF. Cross-linking reaction occurs during processing and molding, and the product is an infusible thermosetting resin. It is customary to collectively refer to it and urea-formaldehyde resin as amino resin. Its formula: Add 50mL formaldehyde solution and 0.12g urotropine into a three-necked flask with electric stirrer, reflux condenser and thermometer, stir to make them fully dissolved, then add 31.5g of melamine under stirring, and continue stirring After 5 minutes, heat to 80°C to start the reaction; during the reaction, it can be clearly observed that the reaction system turns from turbid to clear. 2.     Sulfonated Melamine Formaldehyde Resin Features:

    1. With greater chemical activity, high bonding strength, high water resistance, can withstand boiling water for more than three hours, high thermal stability, strong low-temperature curing ability, good abrasion resistance, fast curing, no need for curing agent.
    2. The melamine product has better hardness and abrasion resistance than the urea-formaldehyde resin product. It has better resistance to chemicals and electrical insulation properties. However, the adhesive layer is easy to crack after curing. It is not suitable to use modified melamine resin adhesive alone.
    3. Short storage period and perishable. It can be made into powder to extend the storage period. Modified melamine resin is more expensive. It is used in the manufacture of plastic veneer panels. It is widely used in furniture, vehicle construction, etc.
